Some great quotes by great people
"Whatever words we utter should be chosen with care for people will hear them and be influenced by them for good or ill."
~Buddha
"Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words."
~Robert Frost
"Inspiration comes from so many sources. Music, other fiction, the non-fiction I read, TV shows, films, news reports, people I know, stories I hear, misheard words or lyrics, dreams... Motivation? The memory of the rush I get from a really good writing session - even on a bad day, I know I'll find that again if I keep going."
~Trudi Canavan
Lost love
She ran towards the pale wall with clenched fists,
Fortunately, the wall managed to hold her from passing through
As the tears slowly cascaded down her ruddy face, it all started coming back to her then
The sun was setting and her love sun seemed to have tagged along for an early set too,
She was left to drift alone in the mystery of the unknown darkness.
She kept punching the wall in a bid to ease her frustration, but to no avail
Her gestures yelled for the things she longed for; the happy times, the sweet memories, the sunny days, lovely dreams and the lovely future that had just been shuttered!
The loneliness deep inside, the sense of complete emptiness, was more than she could bare and it was tearing her to shreds
Then she began to cry; for love, hope, life.
Her mind drifted away back to the beginning of time, when love existed only between two people and how it had spread like a deadly disease.
All this time she was speechless, and when she began to speak, she spoke of; the tough times, the unfair world, unexpected situations and the unending sorrows of the ever changing world…
Then she lifted her head towards the sky, her lucky star had been cloaked by a thick dark cloud, and she muttered, “Today is gone and I’m still dying, these four walls of emptiness are still crushing in on me…”
Then she buried her tearful face in her moist hands, and began to listen to her inner voice from deep within, her only companion, her only source of hope…
She opened her eyes to stare at her will to survive that was strewn before her, then she fell on her knees, gave herself a tight, empty embrace, and sobbed bitterly
She longed for a walk back in time with the hands of time, to take back everything to the way it used to be…
Lots of thoughts of how short this life is were racing in her confused head, then she began to console herself that, by the time we are leaving this world, we’ve had enough share of; our sorrows, life’s adventures, love, ups & downs and life’s little pleasures…
She was now missing the times they never got to share, the dreams they never got to see come true, the far away land they never got to visit but more so, she missed the magic word she never got to utter, ‘sorry’
She felt like it was time to go, to the afterlife unknown, but she hadn’t packed her belongings yet, she still got flowers to pick tomorrow, she still got a few smiles to share tomorrow and a little sunshine to brighten her tomorrow, but only, only if tomorrow comes…
